How my Business trip turned into a holiday
Is there any of you that have heard of Liveaboard diving, because up until a few weeks ago i hadn’t? This has got to be one of the easiest holidays for people to book, just get yourself a plane ticket and book a yacht! What’s great about Liveaboard’s is that anyone can go, Families, singles or just couples.
So what is a Liveaboard, what does it mean? To put it plainly, just think of it as a high class boat holiday. This is a fantastic way to spend two weeks, just bobbing along the sea. Taking the boat out to see is a joyous experience anyway, all you need is plenty of food, sun tan lotion and drink. I couldn’t believe my luck when my Client said that he wanted me to join him on one of his holidays. We took off in a plane and headed out towards the Maldives, we then hired a luxury yacht called the “Monsoon”, a very beautiful boat.
It was in my opinion that this was going to be less of a holiday and more of a business trip, but i don’t think that i could have been more wrong. We spent 1 full day Discussing work, on a two week holiday. There was no more business to be done now, and I was ordered to enjoy the holiday. I had been diving before so I was more than happy to do this, but wanted to maintain a professional mind. This proved to be very difficult because all the diving was unbelievably fun. Once one afternoon when i ventured out for a diving session, we were greeted by a glorious Whale Shark.
Basically I spent about 7 hours completing business and about 13 days diving in the warm tropics of the Indian Ocean, not bad going. This is something that everybody can try, and there is no pressure to go diving either, you can just enjoy the trip. This decision to go on holiday with a Client, was probably the best I had made in a while. Everyone has wierd nasty thoughts about swimming alone in the ocean, but as long as the boat is in sight, it couldn’t be more relaxing and calming.
Diving holidays and Liveaboard diving is brilliant, not a very technical word, but there are few ways to describe it, so whey not give luxury holidays a go in the Maldives!
